Hi Guys,
Real quick intro post. Been attempting to learn Japanese now for a good month or two (been spread over the course of a year due to varying circumstances). But now back into the swing of things with some fresh subscriptions and resources.
Just in-case it helps anyone I’ve been using the following sites to get all the material i need:
Lang-8! (Brilliant, especially for actually communicating with Japanese people – useful as hell for knowing where your going wrong!)
Japanesepod101 (Their beginner podcasts are brilliant, really useful in getting some basic vocab. It’s nice to spend a week on a group of 3 episodes and really breakdown and understand each sample sentence).
Google Translate (Not for the actual translation but for the Romanji conversion and just being able to read through my sentences (still haven’t mastered my Hiragana).
iKnow (Which has been useful in drilling Hiragana – has basic core 2000 packages which gives some good example sentences read by native Japanese).
Gimmeaflakeman’s and a bunch of other native English speaking youtube channels (Hannahminx included but only because she gets her tits out <- This makes Japanese way more fun).
So so far i'm just getting some basic vocab, drilling my hiragana and plucking up the courage to talk more on skype with Japanese people (girls) I meet on Lang-8.. If anyone has any awesome resources or advice etc. please feel free to comment. I look forward to speaking with you all soon! :D
