    おはようございます。

I’m a Japanese learner from the Netherlands (hence オランダ人) who primarily wants to learn Japanese for the sake of being able to enjoy Japanese media (primarily manga and jRPGs) without having to rely on third parties to translate it for me, since that tends to be a gamble in many cases, and even when an official translation gets released, quality can be rather questionable.

It’s the same reason I learned English (with the added bit that a lot more stuff just doesn’t get translated to Dutch) and by now my English is good enough that I feel comfortable with using English for nearly everything. (In fact, I’m writing my master thesis in English.)
