This is a random question. I understand that ~くん is sometimes used by girls when referring to their boyfriends, is this kind of like in Korean where “Oppa” is used in reference to one’s boyfriend? Or is there a term like “Oppa” in Japanese?

    Cheers!

This is a usage question, and I have to admit I’m not so strong on those, but I’d say the use of くん for one’s boyfriend is a way of sounding cutesy. Had to Google what “oppa” meant, and I’d have to say the nearest Japanese equivalent is probably お兄さん.
