Hello!

My name is Jonathan. I’m 22yrs old and live in Chicago, IL. I’ve been a lifelong admirer of Japanese history, literature, pop culture, music, anime, film, and culture since as far back as I can remember, and I’ve finally mustered up the courage to formally begin study to prepare for a trip I’m planning for a couple of friends and I to Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka in Spring 2014. I hope to learn as much Japanese as well as I can before then to be able to effectively interact and communicate and explorel. I guess I might be more excited than most about language-learning in general. I have studied English, Spanish, and Latin in school, can understand Portuguese, Italian, and Catalan, and know limited phrases in German and Japanese, though I would like to study many more ideally. I’m looking forward to using TextFugu as I’ve always been an independent self-learner and it seems like a great resource overall!
