    Hello!

My name is Larisa. I have been practicing on textfugu’s free offered lessons and IT IS RADICAL (hence why I’m joining, of course). My only current long term goal for a few years has been to live in Japan, not necessarily forever (although, MAYBE!) but at least for sometime. I actually have returned to school after a 4 year hiatus (I’m only 21, I swear) to pursue this goal through using the system to travel for “schooling” purposes. Because honestly, I cannot afford it XD. But I have been going to a community college and cannot transfer to the University offering all these promises of Japan for 2 years! BLAH! So when I stumbled upon textfugu last week as an accident I saw it as a sign not to wait for school to teach me Japanese (T ^ T), and took it into my own hands! And I quite honestly could not be happier! I have always had a love for Japanese related things so there is constantly something popping up in my daily life relating to it. Which is great because it has really helped with studying/ memorization :D.

Anyway, I’m really looking forward to the rest of Season 1 and others to come. Thank you Textfugu for being just-so-awesome! <3

Larisa, welcome! I’m so glad you don’t have to wait for school. You’ll probably progress much quicker through TextFugu than you would a traditional class anyways.

    Good luck with your studies!

Mark, no worries, I’m still getting used to using the IME, so typing that double N to create ん makes me feel like I’m typing “konnnichiwa” Fixed!
ありがとうございます, Cassandra! I'm glad I didn't wait either, I was just being extra bummed out about school and how I can’t get what I /really/ want from it until I finish with community college… UNTIL NOW!
