Yes, now that my terribly unoriginal topic title of こんにちは　is out of the way, hello! My name is Allyson, and I am 24 years old.

I have just recently begun to learn Japanese and I am excited to learn more. My reason for learning is that I have always wanted to speak more than one language, and I thought Japanese would be fun. I would love to travel to Japan someday, and being able to speak and read the language would make my life so much easier.

My studies are going much faster than I expected thanks to TextFugu, so once I hit the end of the free stuff, I felt obligated to become a member. I am pretty intimidated by kanji, and have only just begun to learn the radicals, but hopefully I will become more comfortable with it once I learn more. I also hope that I can become a forever member before EtoEto is finished! I couldn’t afford to buy a forever membership right now, but did not want to put my studies on hold until I could, so I am only monthly. I will be very sad if I miss the boat on the upgrade.
