My name is Jade and I started studying with my little sister last year when we both decided we truly wanted to learn Japanese. It wasn’t offered at my school so I took French instead and I openly admit that though I know quite a bit of French it felt passionless almost from the very start, and I found myself trying more Japanese self study then focusing on the class I was paying hundreds of (loan) dollars for. So when I started textfugu it was just another one of my many self learning tools, until I realized it became the one I used all the time. So I recently finished my last french course and did not bother signing up for the conversational classes but instead decided to spend my money on what I really enjoy. My goal is to become as fluent as possible while I finish my bachelors degree (3 long years) and spend a few years in Japan teaching in a Preschool or elementary school. I have been told by hundreds “you don’t have to know Japanese to teach there” but I don’t really care, I can’t imagine going to live in a foreign country without bothering to know their language, and a pretty amazing language at that. My passion (yes “the passion”) is teaching and the more I know about their language the more I am able to teach them, and them me.
TL;DR
I’m Jade, Je parle francais, mais J’adore Japonais, I’m in school to become a teacher, and would love to teach in Japan.
I hope to talk with you all soon (hopefully in Japanese)
ありがとう
