Hi, I’m Matt. I lived in Japan for two years, and moved there initially with no Japanese knowledge beyond simple formalities.

I’m studying for my Masters in Linguistics back in Ohio (where I’m from) and plan to go back to Japan after I finish.

Now, I am taking Japanese classes as well, and though I did learn a lot just from living and working in a Japanese environment, it’s amazing how teaching English and having to speak English constantly for your job can insulate you from language learning.

I am now taking Japanese learning very seriously and looking for any way to improve. If any of you would like, please give me some tips!

    みんなさん、はじめまして。どうぞよろしくお願いします。
