Hello! My name is dana, i’ve been ‘studying’ japanese for the past few months, meaning i learned to read/write hiragana and katakana via the free lessons here on textfugu. But i was hungry for moar nihongo, so i bought a monthly sub to see how it goes. :) I’m a full time student, but i’ve managed to find a time that works for me to study japanese throughout the week (one hour three times a week, just like a college class would be, and more when i have time). My goals are to travel to Japan, hopefully between undergrad and grad school, or perhaps for graduate school (wishful thinking). I’m an artist, and very interested in japanese art, both popular and more antiquated works. Yes, i watch anime, and yes i read manga, and i would like to enjoy them in their original language instead of relying on translations!
