Hello! My name is Elizabeth and I want to learn Japanese because:
1. I want to go to Japan and study abroad there because
-I love the culture
-I love the food
-I love the fashion
-I love the food
2. I want to speak to my grandmother in Japanese! She has been so wonderful and wants to share her Japanese culture so bad. You know how they say interests skip generations? Well it seems that is what happened here. My grandmother had wanted to share her heritage with my mother but, alas, she was not and is not interested. However, she has found an avid listener in me and I hope I can express to here thanks and fondness towards her in her own language and converse with her fluently soon!
3. I love languages in general. I started trying to learn Japanese when I was 8 or something but gave up since I had no help and was frustrated. However, consistently year after year I have been drawn back to it but always lacked the maturity to understand and stick with it. Of course, during that time I never bought anything but used things I could get my hands on for free. Now, I have been studying consistently everyday for a few months now and making wonderful progress! Finally, lacking enough structure to progress at a good enough rate for myself, I have invested in text fugu. I hope to excel from here! Wish me luck ;)
がんばりましょう!
