Hi,

I’ve been studying Japanese on my own with whatever I could find for maybe about a year. I haven’t had the same intensity or consistency the whole year though. I’ve come to a sort of standstill. I really liked learning from pimsleur and learning from anime as I watched it but I haven’t had much luck with textbooks or even online resources. So, I’m trying this now. I hope that I can talk to some other Japanese learners. I guess my goal is that I’ve always wanted to learn another language, I really enjoy learning Japanese and I want to be able to speak fluently and watch an anime without reading the subtitles and understand the songs I love that are in Japanese. I want to be able to teach Japanese someday. I have been teaching what little I know to my boyfriend, and I really love doing that.
