    Hey guys,

I was looking at the kanji sentence deck for anki, and came across this – 七人

I thought it was ななり , but it shows the correct answer is しちにん

Why is 人 にん when 1 and 2 both use り? And why does 七 become しち when in the kanji page, it shows ななつ as the counting example.

    Help! I’m very confused! :)

一人 and 二人 are the only exceptions for the 人 counter – for every other number, it’s read as にん. 七 can be read as both なな and しち – and I’m pretty sure it’s しち more often than not.
