Today, I am going to my first anime convention. It’s called Naka-Kon in Overland Park, KS. ( I assumed that 中 was some play on being in the MID-west). Anyway I’m pretty excited, I don’t know what to expect XD. But I thought it would be 1. Super fun to go to and 2. A great place to buy up some Japanese text materials and a treat/ motivation to my learning.
Plus it’s an early Valentines date <3
Anyway, I plan to have an excessive amount of pictures and will update tonight/ tomorrow! Have any of you ever been to one?

i’ve been to anime boston which, obviously, is a convention in boston. i went and roomed with like 7 people in a 3 person hotel room for 2 nights. (i slept under the table) it was a lot of fun. i spent ridiculous amounts of money. XD i even saw mansty(a fat man dressed as misty from pokemon)….. haha have fun!!
Comiket twice a year and Reitasai once a year (minus SP, that was a joy-killer). Though this August will be the first time I’m going with some knowledge of Japanese. Considering going to Anime Boston since I live in MA now.
