In season 5 7-8 (http://www.textfugu.com/season-5/tara/7-8/#top) there is this example sentence
スーパー に 入ったら どう ですか？
She pronounces 入ったら like いったら、rather than はいったら. I thought 入るis pronounced はいる. Or is it pronounced with i sound in the past tense?

入る（いる） and 入る（はいる） mean the same thing….はいる is used more frequently. いる is used mostly in set phrases like 入り口（いりぐち）.
It gets confusing because the transitive verb is いれる which might make you think that いる is more common.
Just remember the [enter/get in = はいる] and [insert/put in = いれる]. Sometimes you might hear いる, but not all that often.
So in the case of 入る both pronunciations are interchangeable and basically at the whim of the speaker, though いる is rare?

AnonymousNo, both pronunciations are not interchangeable. If you start substituting はいる for いる you will get lots of strange looks from Japanese people.
The main pronunciation is はいる, to enter. いる is used for certain set phrases such as 気に入る and 郷に入っては郷に従え.
Well I get that you say いる in set phrases like 気に入る, 入れる、入り口 and such but I was just wondering since she says いったら as in “if I enter”
Wonder if what she thinks she’s saying is 行ったら, and Koichi wrote the wrong sentence. Dunno.
