Textfugu really did that! The 50% sale! Wow!
Thanks Koichi!
I’ve been meaning to study Japanese as long as I can remember. I’m the typical person who plans and plans but never really does anything. I’ve wanted to enroll in a Japanese class but it’s wayyyy too expensive, and I have to go out and be exposed to the sun to do that (works at home here). That goes against my nature, not! just to lazy too get my butt off the computer, I love moon bathing though.
Finding the perfect textbook for a self-learner, couch-loving, computer-user, japanese-noob-procrastinator such as myself is every hard until I came across textfugu (saw this in Tofugu, can’t remember how I came across that too but I remember that I love the humor, the writing and especially the illustrations). When I saw the lifetime price before $120, I said it’s a great deal because it’s forever but friends suggested that I should finish those Japanese beginner’s book dusting on the shelves before I make another buy. And so I tried… One book , I finished 1 chapter (Genki 1) and the others I can only go as far as chapter 4 and would take a long vacation then back again to chapter 1 because I totally forgot about it.
Then just a few days back, the clickety-click fingers just brought me back to Tofugu where I saw the promo, read it while the heavens opened up and there was a background music singing “Hallelujah!!! Hallelujah!!! Hallelujah!!! ~” I mean a 50% off is a once-in-a-lifetime offer! So, I was so eager to hit the “make-a-purchase button” on my paypal but I had to wait 24hours for the cut-off. hihihihi ^_^
I have a great feeling about this 2013 about textfugu and wanikani, I’m on my way to becoming an enlightened japanese speaker or at least half way through the beginner’s course. hihihi!
