I’m going to guess it’s a “tough guy” way of speaking, so it’s not going to be used in everyday conversation much, if at all.
Wait, you ask me to make a wild seat-of-my-pants guess about usage, then shove a sweaty fat man in my face when I guess wrong? That’s cruel and unusual punishment, that is.
Am I to take your lack of comment about every other question as an indication that I got full marks? =P
Also I speak from experience. When I first learned about it, I tried using it among a group of Japanese exchange students at my university so I said 「見りゃわかる」to a girl and she suddenly started speaking in 敬語 saying 「はい、わかります。」. And the guy next to her was like “..why is he saying 見りゃ” under his breath in a slightly appalled manner.

Also, why did you not practice listening? Did you really think you were that good at it that you didn’t need practice?

I thought I’d look it up but the only resource I could find was from maggiesensei – it didn’t seem to mention anything about that kind of usage that I could see. Also, it didn’t fully explain how to conjugate, only saying to replace れば with りゃ but nothing about 五段 verbs (e.g. 渡せば -> 渡しりゃ).

It’s not to confuse you – it’s to prevent you from cherry-picking the right answers. Such as, “Aha! She said コーヒー! Therefore the answer is the only one with コーヒー in it!” But yeah, I feel your pain.

Michael, American bills stay the same for the most part. Im sure some have changed at some point for some reason, but mostly they’ve stayed the same boring green & white since they began. Yours look cool though. :)

One thing I learnt when I was in DC: there’s someone whose job it is to keep the plants in front of the White House looking exactly as they do on the $20 note (except for the tree on the left – it fell down, or something, but they’re growing a replacement).

レフリジータ… surely he could have told them to say “fridge” instead; how many people actually say “refrigerator” on a regular basis? To tell the truth, I didn’t even know how to spell it correctly, I see it that infrequently :P I didn’t realise that there’s a ‘d’ in “fridge” but none in “refrigerator”, that just seems weird.
Also, it took me a while to figure out how that game at the end was supposed to work – the first drawing was banana, so I thought the next would start with ‘a’ since it was all supposed to be in English.
