It’s always been a dream of mine to speak another language, and considering how much I’ve been exposed to Japanese over the years – whether through anime, movies or games – it was the logical choice. So with the new year I’ve made a promise to myself to put my back into it, and I’m in possession of a brand new lifetime membership to the site and I’m ready to learn. I looked at a lot of other different ways of studying before this one, but the style of lessons and the focus on and commitment to self-study here really impressed me.

I’ve got hopes of living and working in Japan one day, possibly as an English teacher, and there’s no way that can happen if I don’t speak the language. That it also means I can learn and practice the language with some of that media I mentioned is a nice little benefit too, if I’m honest.
