I’ve just upgraded my AnkiDroid but despite a number of improvements I an unable to use the TextFugu decks. Here is what the Anki 2.0 faq says about changing the decks over for anyone who has the same issue, though maybe the website should update the decks? By the way, I haven’t done this as I don’t have a computer. When I get access to one, I’ll try and convert my decks and restart my Japanese study.

Actually, for now I’ll just downgrade and wait. No point in putting my study on hold. ;)

What is the problem you are having?

I was able to import all my TF anki decks to anki 2. The only thing I dont like about anki 2 is they made it more difficult to import a deck into another deck. Every time I add a new anki deck from TF I have to import it as its own, new deck, then go into deck browser, select the new deck on the left side, Ctrl+A to select all the cards in the new deck, click change deck button then select the deck and press ok. Easy enough when you get used to it, but still a pain compared to the old way.

That being said, I would never go back to the old way. Since it stores the sound with it, I can use it on my phone, laptop and work computer and still have the pronunciations.
