Are you using Anki 2?  For those of you are, I have a question: in the old Anki I always created flipped cards after studying them for a while by pressing Generate Cards and then changing recognition to recall.  I can’t seem to figure out how create flipped cards in Anki 2.

    Thanks

Sorry to veer off topic slightly, but does Anki2 work better on the mobile than the first?

You can’t “flip cards in Anki 2 the same way you could in the first version but there is a way to make the cards you want that is not too difficult.

Open the browser by clicking “Browse” at the top of the screen.
Select the note type you are working with (the one you want to add the reverse cards to) on the left.
Once you’ve selected, you’ll see a list off all the notes of that type on the left.
Beneath the list of cards will be the fields where you can edit the information in the notes and two buttons;  ”Fields” and “Cards”.
    Click “Cards”.
A new window will appear with boxes on the right to edit the template of the card on the left and a preview of the card on the right.
In the top right corner will be a “+” button.
    Click it.
A new card will appear and you can edit the template as you like, placing whichever fields you want on either side of the card.

It’s more complicated than in the old version but it also allows you to create multiple types of cards from a single note.

@vanandrew – I’ve had better luck syncing  with the new version. Also I was really glad I didn’t have to pay for it again.

THANK YOU!!  That was incredibly helpful.

Personally I liked the older Anki better T_T  it was easier to use…..

@vanandrew – I think they just came out with some new version of the mobile that works. Anyways, they’ve really simplified media in Anki2 making all that media syncing less painful.
