Wasn’t sure if there was a better place to post, but this should suffice.

I just started learning Japanese a couple months ago, and I’m progressing into Season 2 where they’re really pushing the use of Anki. Problem is, all the links and files provided in the lessons are apparently provided in .anki file format and not the .apkg format that’s needed by the current version of Anki.

    TL;DR
The Anki files provided aren’t usable and I don’t know the alternative to practice stuff that wasn’t explicitly covered.

    Any help?

What platform are you on? As I understand it, the desktop version can still import .anki files, and you can use that to re-export them as .apkg files. I wouldn’t really know, though – I don’t do anything much with Anki.

I tried both mobile and desktop, currently using Windows 10. When I import i get a message saying it’s not a valid .apkg file and if i got it from the Anki website to retry the download.

Edit: Nevermind, I’m just being dumb. I thought I unzipped the file and I didn’t. My bad!
