    Good day.

When going trough the Anki guide here (or anywhere) the menu alternatives are listed in English.
But when opening Anki it uses a mixture of the native language (for me Norwegian) and English.

    anki native language menus

This makes it a bit of a headache to understand the Anki guides.
I did not find a solution in Anki or by adjusting language settings in Windows 7.

I ended up deleting all the “locale” files and that seemed to solve the problem.
All menus are now English, but Im wondering if there is a better solution known?

I might have missed it in the http://www.textfugu.com/bb/topic/guide-to-using-anki-2-with-textfugu/
It was the source of much frustration for me, and I imagine I could be for others as well.

Hope you have a nice day!

No one else has mentioned this problem. And as I am a native English speaker, haven’t see this myself.

Did you download Anki from the English site and it automatically added the Norwegian?

    I downloaded anki.2.0.22 it from http://ankisrs.net/.
The installer added a folder called called locale that had language folder for many languages, Norwegian was just one of them. I have windows 7 US and English menus and I changed both the language and region to US without it changing Ankis preference for Norwegian. By deleting the locale folder it sorted itself out.

I thought there must be a more elegant solution, but I have not found one yet.
I may also be one of few that has this problem, and I found a hack job solution.
