Hi, I am having a problem with Anki.
I am using a different computer, I have installed Anki, I have downloaded my decks from Ankiweb.
When I try to download a deck from Textfugu to my new computer, the deck zip file goes into the ‘downloads’ folder on my computer ok. I open it ok and unzip it and extract all files. But then when I try to open it with Anki I get the following msg “please ensure a profile is open and Anki is not busy, then try again”. I am doing the same as on my other computer (my wife’s) and that worked just fine. So at the moment I am unable to add Textfugu ‘decks’ onto my Anki decks, please can any body help me?
    Regards.

OK I have made some progress in this. With a lot of messing around I have managed to transfer the ‘suki’ deck from Textfugu to my anki but not into my ‘vocab’ deck. So its sitting there in my anki in a deck called ‘suki’. If I brouse this deck and move the contents to my ‘textfuguvocab’ deck, the contents do move into ‘textfuguvocab’ but do not show up as ‘new’ alongside ‘textfuguvocab’ this means I do not get the ‘study now’ option (which I want) if I go into textfuguvocab.
I have moved ‘kanji3.4′ into anki as a ‘kanji3.4′ deck, then moved contents to ‘kanjideck’ ,and a ‘new’ number does appear alongside the ‘kanjideck’. this means when I go into ‘kanjideck’ I do get the option of ‘study now’ which I am happy with. It seems like the ‘textfuguvocab’ deck on my new system is not behaving as it should because when I move new ‘cards’ into it they do not show up as a ‘new’ number alongside ‘textfuguvocab’.Any ideas please anyone.
    Thanks in advance.
    Stephen.
