The other day, I was searching for an album by capsule called “More! More! More!” and accidentally downloaded an album called “More! More!! More!!!” by a band I’d never heard called Stereopony. I thought I’d keep it anyway seeing as having more Japanese music probably wouldn’t be a bad thing – my collection over the past 3 years has never really gone beyond two artists (Perfume and MEG, with a little capsule in there too). Thank goodness I did keep it as I loved it and now can’t stop listening to them :D
Does anyone here like the band Stereopony or have even heard of them? They’re an all-girl trio who play their own instruments and I guess the genre would be “pop rock”. Some of their songs actually remind me of the kind of thing you’d find on a soundtrack for the game Burnout (or at least Burnout 3 as I’ve never played the others much).
They disbanded in 2012, sadly. Since they only released three albums and I’ve listened to two of them already, does anyone know of any bands that are like them? They sound awesome and I want more of them :D

Yes! Some of you guys now like them too :D I’m glad I downloaded the completely wrong album by mistake ;)
They’ve made 3 albums and I’ve listened to the latter 2 so far. Since they won’t be putting out any new music, I’m kinda holding off listening to the other album for a bit, to pace myself hehe.
I learned that the bassist and drummer from Stereopony joined another band together called… Draft Kings, I think. I’ve only heard one of their songs but they’re not bad (however, I think I prefer the singer from Stereopony, although she’s starting a duo called Alice in Underground which I’m not really a fan of).
Also, Stereophonics are good too :)
Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. I’ll have a look at them all tomorrow, hopefully. Right now, I’m procrastinating badly and should really go to bed haha :/
SHISHAMO, やなが なぎ and Girls Dead Monster were all pretty good. That girl in SHISHAMO has an interesting voice. I’ll definitely check out more of them at some point.
