This is exactly what it says on the tin. Can I ditch the TF Kanji section in favour of the WaniKani Kanji. Recently I’ve been feeling overwhelmed by ANKI and I spend more time faffing about trying to get it to work. Would just covering the WaniKani stuff be ok? I’ll still stick to TF for the vocab though as I need that for the lessons.

I suppose on the same note, is there a plan to integrate the kanji and vocab sections with WaniKani or even better to have a special WaniKani for the TF folks with all the TF kanji and vocab?

Yes, I don’t see why not. I don’t know how many Kanji there are on WaniKani but here on TF there was 388 last time I counted. Koichi hasn’t mentioned merging WaniKani with TextFugu but he did say he plans to ditch Anki at some point in favour of a built in SRS program.

I was wondering how much WaniKani has at this point.  I’ve gone through RTK, I’ve gone through the Textfugu Kanji Vocab, and I’ve gone through Textfugu Ultimate Nouns and Adjectives (skipped verbs, never got back to them).  I’m working on Core6k and, including the words I learned on Textfugu, am about a third of the way through (2200/6000). I also need to finish Textfugu at some point – I did the first four seasons last year, haven’t made much grammar progress since then.

Would WaniKani be of any help to me, or is it not quite there yet?

WaniKani would make you re-learn a lot of things, but in terms of Kanji it goes all the way to 1700 and about 5000 items in total (vocab+kanji).
