So I am currently in Season 5 and I have stopped at the beginning of the casual verbs section.

My question concerns the anki decks referenced on on this page (http://www.textfugu.com/season-5/casual-adj/2-7/#top). The bottom of this page states that I should be studying “verbs group three” and “nouns group 2″. For the life of me, I can not find the links in the past chapter for either of these referenced anki decks. Apart from the Kanji decks, the last vocab decks I have are “ultimate vocab 1″, and “ultimate vocab 2″. Please, could someone direct me to where I can find “verbs group 3″ and “nouns group 2.”

Help is appreciated so that I can keep ‘truckin’ on.

    P.S.

I have already downloaded “ultimate vocab 3″ as I know it is missing from chapter 5. I do not believe that “ultimate vocab 3″ contains the verbs I am looking for.

Yeah Koichi is pretty terrible about his organization skills. He’s not consistent at all. I’m sure at some point it all lined up, but he was really bad at making sure that when he made changes that he followed through all the links and made the appropriate changes to everywhere else that linked back to it. So you see this quite often.

If you download Ultimate Nouns, you’ll see that they have tags that will show which group they are in. Just suspend all of the cards that are outside of the groups you need. If you need help doing that let me know and I’ll guide you through it.

Do the same thing for the verbs deck. His tagging and organization couldn’t be more horrendous to wade through though, so good luck.

I would love some guidance in the anki operation. I can see which cards he is refering to in the spread sheets within the archive folders. However, I do not understand how I can filter by group within Anki in order to suspend the correct cards.

Are you operating within anki’s browse feature?

I appreciate the help, I was afraid that I had missed something crucial and that I would have to cram a whole chapter in before moving forward!

Sorry, haven’t had much chance to get on the forums the past couple days.

Yeah, it’s through the browse feature.

If you have a look at this:

I’ve done a right lick on the top as that allows you to choose what aspects the browse window features, make sure have Tags selected, and then just drag the column over to where you can see it.

I’ve used a new profile, so all I have on display here is the ultimate noun file.

Since you want the first three groups, you’ll need to suspend the others.

So if you look on the left side bar you’ll see the tag groups. Click on group03. Then hit alt+a to select everything on the list, then click suspend on the top. If you then click on the white area off to the side you’ll see that they are now all suspended as they are highlighted in yellow, so it should look like this:

Then just repeat for the remainder of the groups.

If you have any additional questions, I should be able to respond to them quicker than before.

    -Cheers
