    Hello,

I am running into a wall with the “r” pronunciation. I did the tongue exercises several times but I sound nothing like the audio given. Do I place my tongue on the roof of my mouth halfway between the L and D placement? Or do I place my tongue in the space between my tongue at rest and the roof of my mouth? I tried to mimic the audio that goes with it but honestly I hear no “r” sound at all, it sounds to me like he is saying “da, di, du, de, do.”

Thanks so much for any help or clarification anyone can give.

It’s kinda halfway between the L and R positions. I kinda touch the edges of my tongue to the roof of my mouth rather than the tip. Maybe try saying the word “roll” and pay attention to where your tongue is, then try stopping it halfway through.

Honestly, I’ve never been able to hear a “D” sound, myself…
