Hi there,

my Name’s Robert and, like everyone else, I’m here to learn Japanese ^_^. My reasons are not that unusual as well, I guess, aside from “It’s fun” and “to exercise my brain” the most important one is that I want to be able consume Japanese media untranslated, because a) that has proven invaluable with English over the years and b) I really dig the more deeply nested structures in Japanese storytelling, especially where more obscure sources are involved that are much less likely to have good translations available in the first place.
