One of the sentences I posted on Lang-8 was this:
カツ丼を食べやすいだと思います。
The correction I got was this:
カツ丼は食べやすいと思います。
I understand why they dropped the だ, that was an oversight on my part. But they also changed the を to は and that’s the part I’m confused about. I thought that を should be used when you’re “doing” a verb to a noun?
The explanation they gave for the correction in Japanese is this:
「カツ丼は食べやすい。」に「と思います。」を足した文です。「食べやすいだ」とは言いません。
But it looks like there they’re only explaining that I don’t need to add the だ, is that right?
