In Season 7′s teaching of が as used in ですが, it states that one should never put a comma ‘before’ が and then gives a sample incorrect example where the comma is placed ‘after’ が. After posting my exercises on Lang-8, quite a few corrections by native speakers added commas after が in some of them, so I’m a bit confused. Under which circumstances does on put a comma after が?
Think Koichi just confused himself – the usage in the example is correct, as is the wording. Commas go after the が only.
