I’ve seen many threads on here about great ways to farm/mine sentences/vocab etc. But I’ve found that most of them tend towards news papers (made simple) or other such materials that aren’t quite directly applicable to conversational Japanese.
I know movies and DVDs are great for this too, but quite honestly, I would love to get my hands on some written material. I am much more of a visual learner and want to used my time as efficiently possible.
つまり、if anyone knows any good resources online for checking out more casual/conversational style Japanese, I’d be forever grateful! (even some entertaining blogs would rock, or w/e)
Thanks =D

Probs to Missing
If you have the slightest interest in AKB, or don’t care, I have a lot of resources ^^
October 3, 2012 at 4:06 pm #35927Yeah, I mean I’m not a fan of AKB, but so long as the topics of convo aren’t solely limited to AKB related stuff, it would be worth looking at.
Also, where is that PDF transcript from? I notice “japanese_listening” in the URL. Is there an accompanying audio file too?
Thanks for the resource.

is where it was from, and indeed this was the transcript. You said you wanted something written though, so I figured I would just link you a PDF to see what you thought about it.
For casual Japanese, 2ch is biggest resource in the world. At first it might seem hard to navigate, but once you get the hang of it, it is rather easy to navigate the site. Of course I am mostly reading AKB-related stuff(mostly through http://akb48matome.com/) but there are topics about everything there, and it very casual Japanese.
Of course akbmatome only has topics related to AKB, but it really convenient to use that site, because other sites will translate the topic into English, so if there is something you don’t understand you can usually just find it translated and make sense of it. It is a good way to learn Japanese for me, and I am very interested in it all, so I read through it every day ^^
There ought to be something on 2ch that interest you :)Oh, and of course following AKB members on G+, and making some Japanese friends on there definitely isn’t bad either. But that is only about AKB, so probably not anything for you ^^ http://www.google.com/intl/ja/+/project48/
