Do the ANKI basic vocabulary decks provided in TextFugu receive updates or modifications as the course progresses? Currently, I’m in Season 2, so the decks are in hiragana. I’m wondering if there are updates or replacements that use kanji later on.i

If TextFugu does not provide updates, does it break anything in the provided decks if I try to manually update vocab / sentences with kanji (Pronunciations are a concern – I’m not familiar with how adding sound files to ANKI works).

I’m only in Season 2 of TextFugu at this moment.

EDIT: Am I supposed to be using the radical / kanji decks linked in the Seasons, or are there better decks in the kanji specific section?

Since you never made an intro post, I never linked you to any of the threads I usually do:

As far as I’m aware, the hiragana doesn’t get replaced with Kanji later on as that would advance it way past beginners level, which is the goal of TextFugu. Yes you should be using the Radical/Kanji/Kanji Vocab decks linked into the seasons, as they will teach vocab using Kanji rather than just Hiragana. The point of this is to approach Kanji in a systematic way without limiting the vocab he can teach due to complicated Kanji.

If you wish to add new cards to the deck or modify the existing card to use the Kanji instead, it won’t break anything.
