Any one here use Facebook in Japanese? I just changed my profile on there into Japanese and it helps me to read and practice even when I am just playing around. I understand most things since katakana is used a lot along with some kanji. Some of the kanji I understand too thanks to textfugu but there is still quite a few I do not. But I know enough to get around and every little bit helps. Just thought I would pass this along to anyone who is interested.

I used to have it in Japanese, but ended up switching it back to English because it was a pain to use the settings menu like that.

On my phone, however, my Facebook app is in Japanese with no visible option to change it, probably because I downloaded it from iTunes Japan.

I also have a Twitter account that’s still set to Japanese, but I don’t really use it at all.

The thing that bothers me about switching stuff to Japanese (I’m talking mostly about my iPod) is that half the stuff is still in English and the mix gets on my nerves. It’s a small complaint, but I find that having to switch back and forth between languages all the time is mentally draining. The English actually makes it harder.

If nothing else you can always write all posts in japanese. I do this with facebook and twitter now and will look into teuing to change them to japanese. If nothing else its a great security feature.
