AnonymousI just finished Season 2 of Textfugu! I’m so happy. Textfugu is truly a great online Japanese resource. Kudos to Koichi!
I’m definitely going to continue on through Textfugu, and I won’t give up on learning Japanese.
Are most people already past Season 2?January 1, 2012 at 6:08 pm #23241I finshed season 2 the 30th december, just in time to reach my goal to finish it before new year :D
January 1, 2012 at 6:12 pm #23242I started Textfugu around October ’10, so yeah, I finished what’s now season 2 quite a while ago haha :D
January 1, 2012 at 8:27 pm #23256Congrats Tsetycoon13!
I finished Season 2 early last year, but I kinda hurried through it. So while I understand the grammar concepts, an extended hiatus meant I forgot all my kanji vocab. Whoops. However, the way Koichi has set it up now is much better and I’m finding that the new anki decks are helping me retain the knowledge much better, as well as much slower and steadier approach :P
Good luck with Season 3!
January 2, 2012 at 2:37 am #23271Yay! I’m in the middle of season 2 now… which is about where I expected to be by now. Have been taking a break for Christmas though, so now my anki reviews are scary :( 250 reviews to do today… oh dear.
January 2, 2012 at 4:34 am #23273Back in my days, season 2 was part of season 1! :D
But to give a proper answer, I finished season 2 last summer.Have fun in season 3: that’s where the fun begins! Or something…
January 2, 2012 at 1:28 pm #23302I have also finished season 2 this week, not as hard as I expected, but fun. Looking forward to learning more!
January 2, 2012 at 1:40 pm #23304I have finally finished Season 2 too! Woohoo!
Time for Victory Dance!

Ganbatte!
January 4, 2012 at 2:42 pm #23599I just started season 2! After putting off doing any Japanese studying (for over 6 months) I finally decided to start seriously mid way through December. A few weeks in and Hiragana is now a stroll.. Koichi teaching skills, absolute win.
January 4, 2012 at 3:47 pm #23601がんばって! I finished Season 2 probably in October.
Also, there are so many new people. SO MANY. This forum is hella active now, getting hard to keep up.

January 5, 2012 at 9:39 am #23709Aye, finished season 2 some time last fall, then started to slow down a bit. Starting 2012 with season 4, and I’m hoping to pick up my pace.
Edit: And again, I’d like to give thanks to Koichi. Textfugu’s made learning this quite fun.

January 6, 2012 at 7:47 pm #23951I started in early August ’11, so I was probably in season two about September or October. Right now I’m in season four and am currently buried under kanji right now… I think once I get a handle on the stuff in season 4 (all the verbs, adjectives, etc.), I’ll start to feel confident putting sentences together myself instead of waiting for Koichi to do it in his practice pages.
I want to throw another thank you toward Koichi and the Textfugu team. It has really been the best independent learning experience. I’m already recommending it to everyone I know!
Take care guys and Happy New Year!
