Currently I am learning how to say “for the purpose of” etc.
But there is something that I don’t completely understand.
In this sentence, the dictionary form of みます is used. Is it also possible to use the masu form instead of the dictionary form (see second sentence ).にほんご を ならう ために 日本 の テレビ を みる
にほんご を ならう ために 日本 の テレビ を みます

日本語べんきょうはすごいですねSo, as a general point, it’s the verb at the end of the sentence that defines the politeness and tense. The verbs in the middle of the sentence are usually required to be in dictionary form, and often nonpast tense too.
Which is to say, for example, you can’t say にほんご を ならいます ために in the middle, but at the end, either みる or みます is fine.
