Hi,
I’m Tim from Melbourne, Australia.
I have been fascinated by everything Japanese for pretty much as long as I can remember.
Since 2008 I have travelled to Japan once a year, except for 2011 when I was due to go about a month after the earthquake/tsunami and my Japanese friends advised me not to come. In all honesty I wanted to go but thought if anything did happen then they would feel responsible and I did not want that.
My aim is to learn enough Japanese to be able to have a conversation with my friends and other people I meet.
Also to be able to watch TV, anime and films without subtitles.
I really want to understand and be understood.
And that’s about it for now.
I have to start learning….Welcome! I’m from Sydney, myself. Little jealous you go once a year – I’ve been once, full stop.
