Hello to everyone on the Textfugu forum. I’ve tried studying japanese for a number of years with limited success, I was pretty much sold after season 1. I love japanese culture and food, my goals are to be able to hold a conversation with a native speaker by the end of the year and to comfortably read a japanese light novel (Sword art online). I want to meet like minded people and to hopefully, become fluent :D

Welcome Alex! Sword Art Online is pretty awesome. I too want to become fluent enough to read light novels….heck I love the Visual Novels too!

I’m loving the textfugu forums because so many of us are all in the same “beginner Japanese” boat, and it’s really great to talk with people on your same level and share ideas and info and such. Welcome to the forums! :)
