こんばんは。I am Paul. Not the youngest anymore, not wise either. I started learning Japanese on my own two years ago after a great business trip to Tokyo. Really fell in love with the country, people and culture. Next time I visit I want to speak the language. I think TextFugu will give my studies some much needed structure. Hope to learn a lot and have fun with all of you out there.

Hi, thanks to both of you for the nice response.

Cassandra, I am in the marine insurance business. We inspect damaged cargo for overseas insurers, investigate cargo thefts, etc. Fortunately this allows me to visit overseas clients. Right now I am planning to go to China on business. Much more interesting is, however, that I may have the opportunity to go back to Japan with a friend in spring. Sightseeing is much better than business trip. We are planning on Tokyo and Kyoto. Don’t be jealous, you will get your chance if you really want to go.

    Cheers,
    Paul

Paul – Your job sounds interesting. I think it’s awesome that you get to travel internationally as part of your job. I hope you’re able to go back to Japan as a sightseer! :)

Ah, thanks. Trip to Japan is set for May. Certainly will take lots of photos and love to share them. Just have to figure out how.
