    Hello,

My name is Sithanong Keola and I am from the United States of America. I was born in Vientiane, Laos and raised in the US since I was only a year old.  (Please address me by my username and I will appreciate you greatly!)

I have been learning about Japanese culture since I was in high school but until now I have never really put any tangible effort towards actually learning the language. At the age of 22, after countless years of immersion in Japanese anime, Music, and culture I have come to realize that I am not getting any younger. Finally after many years I have understood my goal, and that is to start my new life in Japan. I was always contemplating whether I should learn by visiting or learning the language before I go. Eventually I got bored of waiting for an answer and decided to seek for the truth. I came across a guy named Koichi and his marvelous online textbook learning resource, TextFugu. I wasn’t sure how effective this would be for me verses that countless other programs offered by many questionable companies, (Rosetta Stone, Pimsleur, etc…) but I gave it a shot and the results were stunning. Never have I ever been so dedicated to learning anything until I started learning Japanese. I went from doing the day-to-day, to creating a weekly self-teach schedule to better accommodate this fantastic learning process. I finished Season one in about four days and am able to thoroughly comprehend all concepts within the material. The try-before-you-buy worked so well that at this point I felt no remorse in making that lifetime purchase!

Thank you all that make TextFugu possible and continue to contribute to the growth of this amazing resource. I would never have been able to make it this much closer to my goal with TextFugu!

If anyone has any advice or suggestions for me I would love to hear from you below.

    Thanks,
