I guess I have been fascinated with Japan and Japanese culture for a very long time. I actually tried learning the language when I was in 7th grade, but I didn’t really have the motivation then. I have just finished my first year of college, and being that my college is kind of a “nerd” (for lack of a better term) school, I was reintroduced to Anime. After watching Anime regularly my love for Japan and its media made me want to give learning the language a shot again. Now about a month later I have gone through a lot of self teaching, using various sites and a book called “Remembering the Kanji” to kick-start my learning. Granted I have gone through many Absolute Beginner and Beginner lessons, I still hope to run through the lessons here in order to get some variance in my learning.

I tend to be an impatient person and give up learning things when they get hard, but I’m hoping my goals along with the claim that this is the hard way from the start, will help me get passed the difficult and demotivating parts so I can become fluent in the language.

So I look forward to learning and possibly meeting some people along the way!

    ありがとうごじます。
