Hello!

I’ve mooched off of TextFugu’s free pages on different topics (mostly trying to get a better understanding of kanji), so I finally decided to become a member.

I recently became more interested in learning Japanese after I started visiting the Japantowns in my area. I don’t really understand a lot of the culture of Japan, and I feel really silly just thinking “oh, that looks nice.”

Also, I have a friend who speaks Chinese, so she helps me understand a bit more about some of the kanji. We’re both still in highschool, and we’d like to do a backpacking trip somewhere over the summer after graduation. For now, it’s either Japan or a West Europe.
