    Hey there,

I’m Jack and I’m 21 years old. I’m from the UK and work unsociable hours so I haven’t had the opportunity to this in the ‘traditional’ way.

I want to learn Japanese not only because they seem to have far superior dramas (good Lord, Eastenders is awful) but also because I’d love to, one day, travel all over Japan. Particularly the rural areas.

I think, for me, the hardest part of learning is going to be being a beginner again. That sounds silly and obvious but I’ve always had an excellent vocabulary and I’ve been able to read just about anything (assuming there isn’t a lot of field specific jargon) since I was 6 years old. It’s going to be rather painful reading about ‘Ben’s big red ball’ again.

Anyway, it’s great to meet you all.

Hi Jack! Welcome to the forums. :) Traveling around Japan sounds like fun. Where do you want to visit the most?

    Good luck with your studies!
