Hiya, I’m Kristi (usually called K-chan by my friends)

I’m a 30 year old working on my BA degree (General Studies and Japanese) with my husband, with the intention of joining the JET program to teach English in Japan for a while. Both me an my husband are fascinated with Japanese culture and this mutual interest is part of what brought us together.

Currently I’ve had 3 semesters of formal Japanese classes but have been feeling really overwhelmed by the amount of stuff I have been trying to learn and remember. I’m going to be studying for a semester in Nagasaki in two months and with a break in classes I really feel like I’m falling behind. I’m hoping that Textfugu will help me with my studies since I would really love to be as comfortable as possible with the language when I go. I think it will make my trip even more awesome than I already know it will be.

If anybody has any advice for my studies or any fun things to do or see in Nagasaki please let me know. :)

Good luck with the Jet program as that is getting more and more competitive.

Oh I know, but I have a lot going for me so I figure I might as well try. If I don’t apply then I certainly won’t get in. I have lots of other options but it’s good to set a high goal right?
