Hi everyone, Joe here. I’ve been toying with the idea of signing up for TextFugu for a few days now, and I finally decided to give it a chance (it was also a nice surprise to find that I had a few dollars lingering in my PayPal account as well). I’ve been studying Japanese for about two years now at my university (as a minor), and I’ve been looking for a decent way to supplement my class lessons. Learning Japanese at my university is okay and all, but it’s relatively slow. Two years in and I’ve probably only learned about 100 kanji or so from my textbook (we use Nakama…yay). I’ve supplemented that a bit so far on my own, but sometimes it’s tough to figure out where to begin! Anyway, I’ve been trying to expand my vocab and I’ve really started putting a lot of focus on learning more kanji and improve my speaking, which is suffering a bit at the moment.

Anyhoo, enough of my rambling. I’m glad to be here, and I’m looking forward to getting started!
