MY name is Jakob and I’m learning Japanese in my spare time so for several reasons.
One is so that I can share the language with a good friend of mine who does speak it.
Another is that I hope the ability to think in a language so different in form from English will help me expand my own thinking.
And finally…because I want to visit a far off land one of these days. May as well speak the language too.
This should be interesting.
