Hi, I’m Mike and I’m from Mexico.
I’ve been “learning” Japanese from various sources since 2008, but I haven’t ever studied the language seriously, just a few things.. I can read Hiragana and Katakana pretty well but I don’t know what many of the words mean. Also I know how to create a few sentences more than just repeating what the dictionary says but my vocabulary is really poor.
I know Textfugu since like.. 4 years now, and I’ve always wanted to buy the complete course.Now that I bought it I hope to learn Japanese properly and to know people interested in it as well (for practice purposes).
I started learning Japanese to know more about japan and maybe be able to travel there.
Welcome! Knowing what the words mean tends to come in handy. =P

I hope I can start learning the meaning of a lot of words and be able to use it with you guys to practice :) And if I can start reading my Twitter Feed and understanding more than just making non-sense sounds I’ll be happy !ps.- even without knowing the meaning, it is handy to read Japanese stuff at the market some times, I’ve impressed a few girls just reading out loud the words written on the ramen soups ;)
