Hello everyone, my name is Isaac and I am from New Zealand. I have been on TextFugu on and off for about four months now. However on my first pass through the first 3 seasons I was in a bit of a rush as I was heading off to Japan to visit my Girlfriend. Now I am going back to the start to basically start again from scratch in an attempt to do things correctly and cover the holes where I completely missed things, didn’t spend the time needed, or decided I wasn’t going to need it “right now”.

At Intermediate and High school I did some cursory Japanese learning but it was just basics, taught by non-native speakers, and had all been forgotten when I jumped on here (Except how to count from 1-10).

My urge to study comes from a desire I have always had to become bi-lingual, and more after, but have never had the motivation to do it. When I came across TextFugu I decided to finally take the plunge and stop procrastinating.
