Hi everyone! My name is Casey, and I’m a 29 year old spreadsheet-monkey from Seattle. When I travel I like to get fully immersed, and for as long as I can remember the country I have wanted to visit most is Japan. I want to be able to experience it in its entirety, and especially be able to communicate and behave in a respectful manner. In order to do this, I feel like I need to have a strong grasp of the language.

I grew up poor and in difficult circumstances, so the thought of ever even taking a flight somewhere across the country seemed impossible. Now I’m grown and have found a modicum of success, traveling to Japan sometime in the next few years would be a great victory for me now that I finally have the means. I want to make the most of it, and I’m hoping TextFugu will give me the language skills I’ll need to do that :)
