Hello everyone,

I have been interested in learning about Japanese language and culture for a few years, but have not been able to focus on learning due to various excuses.  I’m changing that now. Last November I applied for the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) program despite the fact that I know next to no Japanese and very little about there culture.
While waiting to hear back from JET about an interview/position I am working hard to prepare for the journey. I hope I can experience a new culture and learn about the lifestyle of the Japanese people, as well as challenge myself to a new world.
