Hello :) Um, yeah, I’m not really new here, but I kinda forgot introducing me… for half a year^^ Somewhen during the last term I just got stuck with the idea of learning Japanese and tried to squeeze it in somewhere between the other four languages I was currently learning at that time. And now, since the new term started and I got rid of two of them, I’ll try and do some more for Japanese :D

I have absolutely no idea how I got the idea of learning Japanese. Absolutely none. I just started doing some research about Japan at some point (I think it was because of Hayao Miyazaki’s “Spirited Away”- I love his movies!) and found that it is probably one of the most fascinating countries of the world. And then, since I was a bit bored and never had even tried to learn some Asian language, I decided to learn Japanese :) After a while, I found Textfugu and Kouichi had this “New Year’s Sale” running and I just thought “Hey, this just can’t be a coincidence” and signed up :)
Hmm, what else.. I’ve got ´the habit of using way too many smileys, I’m pretty obsessed with languages and I am from Switzerland (the Topic Title is in Swiss German… I wonder whether there are any other Swiss guys hanging around here)
Oh, and since I’m a total chaot, I also didn’t notice that I probably should have edited my profile somewhen during the last year… think I’m gonna do that now :)

Yeah, that’s pretty much me… If you’ve got any questions, feel free to ask! :D

    See you guys,
    Sarah

And If anyone of you enjoys correcting a non-native speaker’s English mistakes, I don’t mind at all! ;)

    Sarah,

Welcome, welcome! That’s alright that you have no idea how you got the idea of learning Japanese. Just stick with it now that you’ve found it! :)

Welcome again and good luck with your studies!

While I’m not Swiss, I’m from Austria, so not that far away from you. ;)

Welcome to learning the best language in the world and have fun with it. :)

Thank you guys :) And I’m really glad about not being the only one learning Japanese even though I’m almost 10 000 km away from Japan^^
