Sup sup! I’m excited to join this site. I’m a mixed kid. I’m a quarter Japanese and a quarter Filipina but since my mom grew up in the Philippines I didn’t get to learn Japanese!

My dad was stationed in Okinawa when he was in the military and he met my mom there. My dad plays guitar and got me into music like enka, traditional Japanese folk music, and I got into Jpop myself. I like artists like Misora Hibari, Olivia Lufkin, Natsukawa Rimi, Monkey Majik, Anna Tsuchiya, Tsukiko Amano, and Crystal Kay.

I sing and play the guitar and would love to understand what I’m singing as funny as that sounds. Melody is what primarily strikes me when I listen to music and I find Japanese melodies lovely but again I would love to have a better understanding of the language. I have a feel for how to pronounce things and intonation but I’d love to be literate and converse with more people.

From my experience with talking with people in Spanish, it’s such a joy to make small talk with others in another language! I would love to have the same experience with Japanese. よろしくおねがいします！！
